The biggest takeaway for me—I’ve always had confidence. I figure if I screw it up I can always take it again. But I think the biggest takeaway is just the wealth of information that I’ve already received that I’m anxious to put into practice. I’ve done some of it, but I’m anxious to take all that stuff and kind of condense it and pour it into my ears and see what I can come up with. I think it’s just the excitement of learning the new stuff, for me, that really gives me a kick.

For one, it’s the progression. Each lesson not only brings in new information, but it builds upon the old stuff. There is something about the way you teach that makes it feel like it’s one-on-one, it’s very personal, and you’re very reachable and you respond back. So, it’s like you’re in a class. The knowledge that you impart is more like I’m sitting behind you while you’re doing this and you’re showing me how to it.

It’s exciting to get all this stuff I never knew. I never knew that photography was so complicated. It’s not complicated when you know it, you know, that’s what is very exciting to me. It’s always a new adventure every week—learn something new, and then go out and try it. I just really look forward to each month, I really do. You’re doing a great job, Ken.

I mean, there is something to try every week. But by the fourth week, you’re really ready to jump right in and do it. I can’t believe this is the eighth month already, going into the ninth month. It feels like we just started.

I’ve got a friend who’s interested in photography. I would tell her to take your class in a heartbeat when she’s ready
